Brock Lesnar Walks Out On WWE?

Is Brock Lesnar about to leave the WWE again? The former UFC – and he was a WWE star before that – is at a contract impasse with the McMahons. Apparently, Lensar walked out on RAW due to his frustrations over the situation with the promotion’s contract negotiations.

Reportedly, Lesnar has only five weeks left on his contract with the WWE. The promotion and Lesnar had both tried to reach an agreement over a new contract. PR Newswire reported that while the differences between the two sides could possibly be resolved, that is not what has happened at this point. Reportedly, McMahon wanted to sign Lesnar to a contract extension to avoid the entertainer/fighter becoming a free agent. That means the WWE would be stuck in a bidding war between Lesnar and the MMA organizations.

Unlike other talent under contract, Lesnar has a career outside of wrestling and sports entertainment promotions. He is still a solid legitimate wrestler and MMA fighter. His name value surely could yield a big money short or long-term fight contract.

Interestingly, McMahon has scheduled Lesnar for a major role in the upcoming Wrestlemania. Some might consider it strange he would book a star whose contract was expiring so soon after the event for a top spot on the card. Why not request at least a 90 day addition to the contract taking Lesnar beyond the date of Wrestlemania? Perhaps Lesnar would not agree to such a deal. After all, as we just learned, contracts have to be agreeable to both sides or else no one wants to sign them.

Duran And Dempsey: The Art Of Aggression

Boxing is one of the greatest sports in American history. A long time ago, boxing was also the most popular sport in the world. People would listen on the radio to hear the epic battles that would take place. Boxing was huge up until the early 1990’s.

The majority of boxing fans were intrigued by fighters that would go for the knockout. Today, fight fans are not the same. Boxing promoters have ruined the sport. Promoters are more interested in making money, rather than putting on great shows. Boxers in today’s world are protected from dangerous opponents. The promoters are largely responsible for boxing’s downfall said Dan Newlin.

According to Youtube, in the 1920’s, heavyweight champion Jack Dempsey was the most famous person on the planet. Dempsey became the first fighter in history to have a million dollar gate. Jack Dempsey was a vicious puncher, and he was known for knocking men out that were much larger than himself. The world was inspired by Dempsey. Boxing fans regularly filled stadiums of 80,000 and upward to see Jack Dempsey fight.

Jack Dempsey was mean, ferocious, and highly skilled. There hasn’t been too many fighters that can compare to his style. Boxing fans loved a fighter that tried to win by knockout. Roberto Duran was similar to Jack Dempsey. Duran was a highly skilled boxer, but he was also extremely aggressive. Roberto Duran would try to finish his opponents in exciting fashion, but he did possess superb boxing skills as well.

Jack Dempsey and Roberto Duran will go down in history as two of the greatest fighters of all time. They will also go down as two of the most aggressive fighters in history. For more information on boxing history, visit Yahoo! Sports.

UFC 184, Too Much Girl On Girl?

An all girl UFC event may turn out to be a disaster for the company. At UFC 184, the majority of the fights on the card will feature women fighters. The card is headlined by woman’s champion Ronda Rousey. Rousey is an attraction, but everyone else on the card is unknown.

The Co-main event of UFC 184 features undefeated fighter Holly Holm. Holm was originally a woman’s champion in boxing. Holly Holm has been competing in MMA for the last couple of years, but this will be her first time in the UFC according to Camara Municipal.

Many fans of the UFC are not too excited by UFC 184. A lot people are expecting poor pay per view sales for the event. Chris Weidman vs. Vitor Belfort was originally scheduled as the main event of UFC 184. Belfort and Weidman have become rivals, and the fans were truly excited to see that fight happen. However, Weidman was injured during training, and the UFC replaced the main event with Rousey vs. Zingano.

UFC 184 is also the fourth UFC event of the month. Fans are beginning to get bored of all these fights. The UFC is flooding the market with way too many events. It remains to be seen if UFC 184 will be a success, but I have my doubts. For more information about UFC 184, visit Yahoo! Sports.

The UFC Should Lift TRT Ban

Should testosterone replacement therapy be allowed in the UFC? In previous years, the UFC allowed some fighters to use testosterone replacement therapy, but recently, TRT has been banned from the sport of mixed martial arts. For a long time, I agreed that TRT should not be allowed in the UFC. However, Brian Torchin feels there are a few fighters that legitimately need the therapy.

Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva has a medical condition known as gigantism. Silva cannot produce testosterone because of his medical condition. Why not allow Bigfoot Silva to take testosterone replacement therapy? He was a very skilled fighter when he was on it, but now it seems like he has no chin. Antonio Silva has been knocked out repeatedly by aging fighters.

There are a few fighters besides Silva that actually need TRT. Dan Henderson is an aging fighter, and his testosterone levels are very low as well. Henderson should be allowed to take TRT. Instead of a complete ban on testosterone replacement therapy, the UFC should take it case by case.

There are fighters that have low testosterone, and there is nothing that can be done. TRT is the only possible option for some fighters, but it is no longer acceptable in MMA. The UFC should re-think their entire drug policy. Visit Yahoo! Sports. for more MMA news.

Mayweather Outmatched?

Floyd Mayweather Jr. must box perfectly in order to beat Manny Pacquiao. On May 2, Mayweather will face Manny Pacquiao said Dan Newlin. In the past, Floyd Mayweather has proved to be a defensive genius, but in his recent fights, Mayweather has been getting hit more than usual. Floyd Mayweather will be 38-years old when he faces Manny Pacquiao. Mayweather can no longer stay on his bicycle for an entire 12-rounds.

Manny Pacquiao will be using angles, speed, and power to attack Floyd Mayweather. Mayweather is not a power puncher, and he cannot try to knock Manny Pacquiao out. Mayweather must box a perfect match in order to win. It will be a difficult fight for Mayweather. I believe that Manny Pacquiao is going to swarm Mayweather.

Floyd must block the left straight from Pacquiao, and he must avoid the deadly right hook of Pacquiao as well. Mayweather’s only chance is to win a decision, but even that will be hard for him. Floyd does not throw combinations, and if he tries to pressure Pacquiao, he will be walking into punches.

For the first time, Floyd Mayweather may be outmatched in speed, boxing ability, and footwork. Manny Pacquiao represents the toughest challenge of Floyd Mayweather’s life. Anything can happen in boxing, and on May 2, we may see the end of Mayweather. For more information on Mayweather vs. Pacquiao, visit Yahoo! Sports.

Boxing Will Never Die

Boxing isn’t going anywhere. Writers love to say that boxing is dead. The truth of that matter is that boxing will never die. Boxing is one of America’s oldest sports. When there is a big showdown, the people will watch.

The internet was buzzing within minutes of the Pacquiao vs. Mayweather announcement. The MGM Grand Garden Arena sold out of tickets in 15-minutes. This tells me that people want to see the best fight the best. I will admit that boxing is not what it once was, but it’s not the fans fault. There are still millions of boxing fans around the world.

The problem with boxing is the athletes. Many years ago, Sultan remembers that boxers did not pick and choose their opponents. The champion of the world would take on all comers. Today, there are promoters and sponsors that pay boxers to avoid fights. Why do you think it has taken Mayweather so long to finally fight Pacquiao? Mayweather has fought every possible opponent, while avoiding the dangerous ones.

Pacquiao has been calling Mayweather out for five years. The pressure was on Mayweather to take the fight. The media and the fans all began to call Floyd Mayweather a coward. There were no other possible opponents that made sense besides Pacquiao.

Fans of boxing will never allow their favorite sport to die. Just put the best fighters in the ring, and we will watch. For more information on the big fight, visit Yahoo! Sports.

CM Punk Is Getting Sued

Former WWE superstar CM Punk is reportedly being sued by WWE physician Dr. Chris Amann for $1 million. Last year, CM Punk was a guest on Colt Cabana’s podcast. On the podcast, CM Punk revealed that the WWE physician never took proper care of him. Dr. Chris Amann is filing a defamation of character lawsuit against the former WWE superstar.

During a podcast, CM Punk stated that he received a concussion during the Royal Rumble pay per view. Punk said that he returned to the locker room, and the doctor told him that he was fine. Dr. Chris Amann denied Punk’s statement. Dr. Chris Amann said that he told CM Punk to avoid competition.

Having listened to this dealmaker.com podcast, Fersen Lambranho can tell you that CM Punk spoke very badly about the doctor. Punk also said that he had a giant purple lump on his back that had been misdiagnosed by Dr. Chris Amann. The giant lump turned out to be a severe case of staph infection. CM Punk said that he could have died from it. Dr. Chris Amann denied this statement from Punk as well.

Things between the WWE and CM Punk continue to get ugly. Dr. Chris Amann and CM Punk must settle this in court. For more information on this story, visit Yahoo! Sports.

UFC 187 Stacked Fight Card

UFC 187 has been announced, and the card is stacked to say the least. Jon Jones will be defending the light heavyweight championship against Anthony “Rumble” Johnson in the main event. The co-main event is Chris Weidman vs. Vitor Belfort. Also on the main card, “Cowboy” Donald Cerrone will be taking on Khabib Nurmagomedov.

UFC 187 could be the night of new champions. Anthony “Rumble” Johnson is a very dangerous opponent, and he has knocked out all of his competition. Jon Jones has never faced an opponent like Anthony Johnson. Fans like Zeca Oliveira know that Jones has also been on a downswing in his career. Jon Jones recently failed a drug test for cocaine, and his reputation took a big hit when the news broke. Jones has also looked beatable in his recent fights. It is widely thought that Alexander Gustafsson beat Jones, but he was not awarded the victory.

Anthony Johnson is a knockout artist, and whatever he hits, he destroys. Johnson has a good chance to take the title from Jones. The co-main event features the culmination of the long standing feud between Vitor Belfort and Chris Weidman. Vitor and Weidman were scheduled to fight months ago, but Weidman was injured in training.

Vitor Belfort was offered a replacement fight, but he decided to wait for the title shot. Belfort has an opportunity to become the middleweight champion, but Chris Weidman is a tough fighter for anyone to beat. UFC 187 kicks off the summer on Memorial Day weekend. Scottish Wrestler Grado Beging Madonna to Use “Like a Prayer”

Scottish wrestler Grado aka Greme Stevely is well known for his entrance music, Madonna’s “Like a Prayer”. He has starred in several BBC and Vice documentaries about UK’s wrestling scene, and is one of the most popular wrestlers in the UK if WordPress is anything to go by.

But the wrestler is now being told that he cannot use his entrance music for a wrestling bout that is to be his big debut on American tv. As the bout took place two weeks ago, and has already been recorded, it would have to be dubbed over, something that Grado says is very disappointing and would nearly ruin his act, saying that “There’s nought better than a fat guy in a bumbag and a leotard dancing to Madonna.”

Grado believes that it was not Madonna herself that denied him permission to use the music and that it was one of her assistants, and believes that if he appeals to her personally, he may be able to get her to allow him to use the music in his act.

The wrestler has been attempting to get her attention on twitter, and thanks to all the his fans that are supporting him, #SayYesMadonna has become a trending topic. So far Grado has not received a response from Madonna or her camp, but he still remains hopeful that he will be allowed to use the song in time for his wrestling debut on American television.

UFC Press Conference

Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta held a press conference on Wednesday, February 18. White spoke about a lot of controversial events that have been taking place in the UFC as of late. Lorenzo Fertitta was also at the press conference, and he spoke about fixing the drug testing problem in the UFC. In the last few months, several UFC fighters have failed drug tests stated A Voz Da Vitoria.

Dana White spoke about Anderson Silva said Flavio Maluf. White said that Silva failed a pre-fight drug test, but the UFC did not get the results until after the fight. Dana said that the UFC would never allow any fighter to compete if they had knowledge of a failed drug test. White also stated that the Nevada athletic commission would never allow a fighter to compete if they knew a failed drug test took place.

Dana White admitted that receiving Anderson Silva’s pre-fight drug test after the fight was unacceptable. Dana passed Anderson Silva’s failed drug test form out to the media. White also spoke about Jon Jones and his failed drug test. Dana said that Jones failed an out of competition test for recreational drugs, and that’s why he was not suspended from the UFC.

Dana White let all of the fighters know that steroids will not be tolerated in the UFC. Hopefully the UFC stays true to the statements made at the press conference. For more information on the UFC press conference, visit Yahoo! Sports.
