Mirko Cro Cop Back In The UFC

Mirko Cro Cop will return to the UFC later this year. Cro Cop is one of the most legendary fighters to have ever graced the octagon. Fans of Mirko Cro Cop are excited to hear about his return. However, his fans are a bit worried to see him return.

Mirko Cro Cop is 40 years old, and he has been knocked out several times. His health is at risk whenever he steps into the cage. The UFC has the best fighters in the planet, and they will not show mercy to any fighter. My friend Dan Newlin is certain that Mirko Cro Cop will have a bulls-eye on his back when he returns to the octagon.

The UFC has been under public scrutiny over the last few years. Fans have openly criticized the UFC. Most of the complaints have to do with the treatment of the UFC’s fighters. When a fighter can no longer compete in exciting fights, they are fired and banned from competing in the octagon.

Many UFC fighters dedicate their lives in order to entertain their fans. Fighters like Mirko Cro Cop, Wanderlei Silva, and Randy Couture have been given a bad reputation by the UFC. Mirko Cro Cop will have a chance to prove everyone wrong, but how much success will he really have?

Cro Cop has been through many tough battles, and his body is no longer in peak condition. Mirco deserves one last chance in the UFC, but let’s hope it doesn’t end terribly for him.

Fight Choreoghrapher Promises Big Battle in Batman v. Superman

Althought this takes a departure from the sport any fighting news is notabale for fans of MMA, like Bernardo Chua and myself and who doesn’t like movies. The new Batman played by Ben Affleck has huge bat-boots to fill would be a dramatic understatement. He is not the only one who will fall under the proverbial microscope of comparisons to the first Dark Knight trilogy. The screenwriters, directors, and producers also are going to face comparisons. Even those who handle the fight choreographer have to live up to the past success of the Nolan/Bale series.

Fight choreographer Guillermo Grispo is definitely up to the challenge. He has publicly stated in an interview, the fight scenes in Batman v. Superman are going to really blow people away.

The scenes have been shot as principle photography already wrapped. Of course, CGI work on the fights has to be done in the post-production phase.

The scenes have to. For one, you have a seeming mismatch between the human Batman and the Kryptonian Superman. The two heroes are also quite iconic so their battle with one another has to really live up to huge expectations. On top of that, the heroes have to take on whatever villain the movie has in store for them.

Flat fight scenes could leave the film flat. Grispo understands this. He knows he has to craft truly thrilling, over-the-top fights that contribute to the dramatic action of the story. Fight choreographers rarely go public and discuss movies, especially movies that have yet to be released. Maybe Grispo is proud of the work he did in Batman v. Superman and is not shy about letting the world know.

More power to him.

Batman v. Superman comes out in March of 2016.

Wanderlei Silva Wants To Fight Again

The Nevada State Athletic commission banned Wanderlei Silva from fighting last year. Silva is one of the most popular MMA fighters of all time. His fans, like Alexei Beltyukov, have protested against Nevada’s decision for the last year. Wanderlei has never failed a drug test in his entire career.

The problem for Silva began when he was scheduled to face Chael Sonnen. A pre-fight drug test was to be administered at Wanderlei Silva’s gym. A Nevada Athletic Commission representative was sent to Wanderlei’s gym. Wanderlei was told that he was to urinate in a cup, but Silva decided to leave the gym instead. Silva never actually failed a drug test. His actions were unacceptable though, and a hearing was held to decide Wanderlei’s future.

Wanderlei Silva was banned from ever competing again. The Nevada State Athletic Commission was completely out of line for banning Wanderlei from ever fighting again. First of all, this was Wanderlei’s first offense, and he should have been given a one year suspension. Just last month, Jon Jones failed a drug test for cocaine prior to a highly anticipated fight in Nevada. The commission new of Jones’s failed drug test, but they allowed him to fight anyway.

The Nevada State Athletic commission is unjust and biased. Wanderlei Silva must be reinstated in the sport of MMA. Many fighters such as Chael Sonnen and Allistair Overreem have failed drug tests for performance enhancing drugs, but they were allowed to fight after a lengthy suspension. Wanderlei Silva should have been suspended for one year, but now the Nevada Atheltic Commission has a chance to make everything right.

Cung Le Announces Retirement.

Cung Le has decided to step away from the octagon. Le was one of the most exciting fighters to ever compete in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts and my friend in Brazil, Flavio Maluf is sure to agree. He possessed stunning knockout power, and he had the qualifications of a top level wrestler.

Le was the most popular fighter to have ever come from China. Unfortunately, the end of Le’s MMA career did not end gloriously. In his last fight against Michael Bisbing, Cung Le failed a post fight drug test for elevated levels of testosterone. Even though he cheated, Michael Bisbing still beat him.

Cung Le was suspended for a year, but the UFC decided to terminate his suspension for conflicted test results. The entire drug testing situation was a debacle. Dana White, the president of the UFC, always showed respect for the Chinese Superstar, but White’s respect would not be enough to stop Cung Le from suing the UFC.

Cung Le is involved with a class action lawsuit along side many former UFC stars. The lawsuit has to do with the salary and treatment of the UFC fighters. Dana White and the UFC are angered with their former employers. Hopefully, in the future. the UFC and its former fighters will have a friendly relationship.

Cung Le will be remembered as one of the most exciting fighters in the UFC. Le will also be remembered as the Strikeforce champion, and his place in the history of MMA is safe in the hearts of his fans.

WWE Needs More Viewers

The world of professional wrestling is in a much different state than in previous times. The WWE is the most prominent organization in the world of sports entertainment. The WWE’s weekly television program, Monday Night Raw, is the longest running episodic show in the history of television.

The WWE still finds a way to stay relative in the pop culture world. As popular as the WWE is, the organization still needs to make many changes to their company. The show has become rather dull in the last decade. My buddy Dan Newlin is pretty into it and says he kind of misses when Monday Night Raw used to be an edgy wrestling program, but the show has become family friendly in the last several years. The family friendly aspect is not the problem though. The problem has to do with the poor writing of the show.

The WWE has recently gone public in the last decade, and that’s why things have changed dramatically. The WWE is loved by children and older adults. The demographic of teenagers, young adults, and middle age adults are not pleased with the WWE’s current product. The children are getting their entertainment, but when they get older, they are not interested in the WWE anymore.

The people who run the WWE must discover some new strategies in order to keep their viewers watching. For more information on the WWE, visit RollingStone.

Conor McGregor Earns Title Shot

Conor McGregor is one of the most ferocious fighters I have seen in recent years. The Irish superstar has taken the UFC by storm. He has defeated all of four of his UFC opponents by knockout. McGregor is one of the most impressive UFC fighters inside and outside of the ring. He is the future of the UFC’s featherweight division, but he must beat Jose Aldo first.Conor McGregor’s rise to superstardom has been spawned by his outlandish trash talk. His fighting style is also extremely unusual, but it is highly effective. McGregor combines speed and power to destroy his opponents. Each one of his strikes, whether it be a kick or a punch, has the potential to knock anyone out.

Dana White, the UFC president, has awarded Conor McGregor a UFC title shot at UFC 187. A few short months from now, McGregor will be facing Jose Aldo in a five round main event. Conor McGregor vs. Jose Aldo will be the biggest featherweight of all time. Aldo is one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world, and McGregor is the new star of the division.

Conor McGregor’s Irish fighting roots have inspired millions of his countrymen. When McGregor fights, the entire country of Ireland tunes in. The president of the UFC loves all of the extra exposure that McGregor brings to the sport. I personally like seeing more coverage of UFC because most people dismiss it as a sport. I was recently sparring with friend Dr. Rod Rohrich, and I was happy to hear he had seen the news about Conor McGregor.

Johnny Hendricks Vs. Matt Brown

It seems that plans quickly change in the UFC. Johnny Hendricks was originally supposed to face Robbie Lawler for a third time. The two welterweights have fought each other twice in the past. Lawler and Hendricks have each walked away with a controversial win in their previous meetings. Their fights were extremely competitive and entertaining.

It was widely thought that a third fight was going to settle things once and for all. Lawler and Hendricks have not just defeated each other, but they have also taken the UFC welterweight title away from one another. Neither fighter clearly defeated the other, and that’s why a third fight made a lot of sense. Dana White, the president of the UFC, has a different idea. Johnny Hendricks will now be facing Matt Brown at UFC 185. The winner of that fight will be facing the UFC welterweight champion, Robbie Lawler.

Matt Brown vs. Johnny Hendricks will be a difficult matchup for both fighters. It is a great fight, but it is a bit unfair for Johnny Hendricks. For the last several weeks, Hendricks has been told that he will be facing Robbie Lawler for a third time. Johnny Hendricks could possibly lose to Matt Brown, and all his chance for a third fight could be lost as well.

Jack Dempsey Was The Best Of All Time

ot many boxing fans know of the former heavyweight champion Jack Dempsey. Dempsey was the most aggressive fighter in the history of boxing. He was lean and mean. Dempsey only weighed 193 lbs, but he hit harder than anyone else on the planet. Jack Dempsey was nicknamed “The Manassa Mauler” for the way he viciously destroyed his opponents.

Dempsey rose to unimaginable stardom when he faced the heavyweight champion of the world, Jess Willard. Willard was a monster of a man. Jess weighed 242 lbs and he towered over Jack Dempsey. The fight was promoted as Jack versus the giant. When the two finally met in the ring, Jack Dempsey would viciously slay the giant.

The fight between Dempsey and Willard is still considered the most brutal display of boxing to this day. In the first round, Dempsey knocked Willard down seven consecutive times. “The Manassa Mauler” attacked with speed and power. Jess Willard eventually quit in the corner, and he would never box again.

Jack Dempsey became the heavyweight champion in 1919. He became the first boxer to participate in a million dollar gate. Dempsey was the most famous man alive in the 1920’s. Babe Ruth was even second to the great Jack Dempsey. Dempsey was idolized by the children of America. Boxing was once the most popular sport in the world, but now things are extremely different.

In an attempt to bring back the popularity of the sport of Boxing, “Sugar” Ray Leonard has endorsed the return of boxing to NBC. For more information on this story, visit Yahoo! Sports. This would be a great return and could revive boxing’s popularity, read Fersen Lambranho’s take on it at infomoney.com.
